Willy knows about cooking and Willy knows that he gets lots of information from the internet. What Willy did not know was that there were companies out there like wildblue internet who is an internet provider for people who live in rural/remote locations. Tangy Lime Grilled Top Round Steak

Willy is a steak lover and Willy likes this steak. Check it out.

Marinade time: 6 hours or overnight

Ingredients

1. 1 beef top round steak, cut 3/4 inch thick (about 1 pound)
2. 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
3. 2 tablespoons brown sugar
4. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
5. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
6. 3 large cloves garlic, crushed

Instructions

1. Combine lime juice, sugar, oil, Worcestershire and garlic in small bowl. Place beef steak and lime mixture in food-safe plastic bag; turn steak to coat. Close bag securely and marinate in refrigerator 6 hours or overnight; turning occasionally.
2. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Place steak on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, 8 to 9 minutes for medium rare (145°F) doneness, turning occasionally. (Do not overcook.)
3. Carve steak into thin slices. Season with salt and pepper, as desired.

Butter Way Rolls.

Willy loves his rolls and or biscuits. Nothing compliments a good southern meal better than some good ole rolls. Willy was given this recipe by a great grand lady who could really cook.

Here are some of the best rolls you can get..

1-1/2 cup warm water
2 pkg dry yeast
4 cups flour
1/4 cup Sugar
1-1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup shortening
1 egg

Pour warm water in hot a mixing bowl and add yeast. Stir until dissolved. Add half the flour, all the sugar, salt, shortening & egg. Start mixer on medium speed and beat until smooth - about 2 minutes. Add rest of flour and stir in by hand and beat 2 minutes. Cover with damp towel and let rise about 30 minutes. Grease muffin tins - use Pam. Stir down batter in 20 to 25 strokes. Spoon into pans filling hafl full. Let rise in warm place until batter reaches top of pan. About 20 to 30 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes.

Yield: 24 rolls

Willy needs to know if you are familiar with the newest version of the housing stimulus ? If you are not Willy believes you need to know as much about it as you can. Yes, you may have heard about it last year but did you know it has been extended and amplified.

What do you mean amplified. Well, now even more people are eligible making a great deal in real estate get even better. Some of the facts are as follows:

• First-time homebuyers, or those who have not owned in the last three years, can receive up to an $8,000 tax credit
• Homeowners who have lived in a current home consecutively for 5 of the past 8 years can receive up to a $6,500 tax credit
• There may be no future extensions, so all qualified homebuyers are urged to act and have a written, binding contract by April 30, 2010 (close by June 30, 2010)
• Income limits are now $125,000 for singles, $225,000 for married couples with a $20,000 phase-out of the credit for both.

So Willy is cooking up the idea that everyone that is thinking about buying a house can't afford to pass this up. Now is the time and now is the place to get after finding that right home and getting the government to give you back a chunk of change when you buy. That can't be beat.

Willy likes to cook up something a little fancy every now and then. This little recipe caught Willy's eye. See if you might like it.

What You Need!
1/2 cup PLANTERS Sliced Almonds, toasted, divided
50 NILLA Wafers, finely crushed (about 1-3/4 cups)
6 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 cup cold milk
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
1 cup mixed fresh fruit (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, halved strawberries, sliced kiwi)

Eco Mattress Store - and Good Cooking!

Nothing like Willy wanting to put in a good day of cooking or grilling and being to tired to get the job done. Willy has decided that being too tired is something that Willy does not want especially if it can be helped by something as simple as a better mattress.

Willy loves Home Made Tortillas

Local Mexican "Mom & Pop" restaurant makes their own tortillas. The only one that Willy knows of in the local town. Willy likes to eat fajitas or anything they make in the home made tortillas.

Fabys is the name of the restaurant.

Willy likes to pick some up on Friday evening, heat them in microwave for about 20 seconds on Saturday morning and put eggs and sausage in the home made tortillas.

Willy Needs to See Clearly to Cook

Willy sometimes struggles with his eyesight. Some days it is really good and others it is really bad. Willy has glasses but Willy lost them. Willy knows that he needs to get his eyeglasses fixed but Willy just does not want to take the time to get the eye test and all that goes with it along with spending so much time trying on all of those eyeglasses.

Well Willy has found out through an article about how to find inexpensive eyeglasses at Zenni Optical that Willy can get his eyes tested and then go online to Zenni Optical and give them his prescription and get his eyeglasses at a much cheaper cost.

Can you believe that! Pay less and get the same glasses that you would other places and with a great selection to boot. As soon as willy gets the old eyes checked, Willy may just ask for the prescription and go right home and go online and look at all of those glasses. Cooking up some Gold

The United States Hockey team were trying to cook up some gold today similar to how the bobsled team did yesterday.

Maybe the difference was that the Hockey team did not have to wear those tight outfits that the Bobsled Team wore.

Willy looks a good as a couple of the guys on the bobsled team. However, if Willy got that outfit on Willy would never get out of it.

Cranberry Fudge

Willy's wife makes a lot of sweets during the Holidays. This year in her "lets try this one" category, she tried a Cranberry Fudge Recipe that a friend had given her. Needless to say everyone that tried it raved over the results. Here is the recipe.

2 Cups Sugar

1 stick butter

¾ cup sour cream

Boil above ingredients to a soft ball stage.

Add:

1 bag white chocolate Chips

1 small jar marshmallow cream

1 cup cut-up dried cranberries

1 ½ cup pecans

Mix Well

Pour in foil lined pan

Put in refrigerator till firm (at least 1 hour)

Cut and Serve.

Super Bowl Cooking!

What is cooking at your house for Superbowl Sunday. Is it Wings? Is it Pizza? Is it Chips and Dips.

Willy is not cooking up much but the Superbowl is what is cooking today. It amazes Willy that a game can draw so much attention.

Will it be Manning and the Colts? Will it be Brees and the Saints. Both have a good story and Willy is struggling with who to root for.

Willy has thought often that he needs to cook up a franchise that would go great across the country and would handle a good product. While Willy was thinking about this idea he came across the idea of looking at a cookies franchise. Well, Willy thinks he makes a good cookie and it would be great to franchise his cookies.

Cocoons - Must Be Hillbilly

Willy is all about sweets and things that Willy doesn't need. A recipe that came to Willy's attention recently sounds really good and Willy believes that he needs to try this one real soon. Check this one out for some good eats.

1 stick Butter
2 T Powdered Sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 C flour
1 C Pecans, Chopped

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and flour (batter will be stiff) Add chopped pecans and make into balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake in slow oven 45 to 60 minutes at 250 degrees, until light brown. While balls are warm, roll into powdered sugar.

Willy Cooking up Some Houston Rodeo!

Houston Rodeo tickets would be a great thing to cook up at this time. The Houston Livestock and Rodeo starts in early March and runs for about 20 days are more. This is a great event to attend whether it be for the Stock Show or the Rodeo or the Concerts you cannot go wrong. Willy knows!

Willy has been there done that and wants to go again. One of the things that Willy finds that is unique to the Houston Rodeo is that it is not only a thrilled eventful rodeo but it has great concerts following the rodeo giving such great stars such as some of the previous year’s performers which has included acts such as George Strait, Miley Cyrus, Hanah Montana, the Jonas Brothers, Bon Jovi, Toby Keith, Maroon 5, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Beyonce, Maze, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and ZZ Top. This year look for Alan Jackson, Derks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Daurius Rucker and many more.

Chocolate No BakeCookies

Willy made some great cookies last night for Willy and Mrs Willy. These are some of Willy's Favorite - Easy cookies. -- Also More on Cookies in another post or two.

These cookies consist basically of putting sugar, butter, cocoa and milk in a pan and boiling for 2 minutes. Then add peanut butter, oatmeal and vanilla. Mix and drop. - Great Cookies.

2 C Sugar
2 T Cocoa
1 Stick Margarine
1/2 C Milk
1/2 C Crunchy Peanut Butter
3 C Oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla

Willy actually cuts recipe in half.
