Willy is under the impression that humble pie needs to be cooking in Washington in the very near future.  The politicians and the President all feel like they have a point to prove when it is no one but the American people who will suffer.

The government has been running a scheme for ever and it is now time to pay the piper.  What does that mean to me.  It may mean beans and cornbread.  However, Willy knows how to cook that.

What does it really mean for the government to default on its debt.  It could mean that they should not have gotten there in the first place.

They arrest Willy when he does not pay his debt or he steals like the government has stolen from the American People.

Taco Kit

Willy's wife has been ill and Willy is relegated to doing most of the cooking at home.  So guess what Willy might cook?

Tonight, Willy made the great Taco Supper.  Yes, it was great because it was easy, quick, and partial take out.  The Tacos consisted of a Taco Kit from the Market.  Willy cooked ground meat with a sauce from the kit.  Willy then heated up taco shells in the oven.  Willy then had cheese dip and chips that were from Faby's close by. 

Willy finished it up and declared - it is done.  Willy's wife ate the tacos along with chips and dips.

Good food and easy.

Willy Likes Gold

Willy is cooking up some ideas on investments and all that Willy can think of is the price of gold.   The gold price

Hot is Cooking in Arkansas.

Arkansas is just about two degrees cooler than hades.  Someone suggested that you could go there form here to cool down.  Temperature today is about 106 degrees and about 50% humidity.  So if you are asked what is Cooking in Arkansas today it could easily be said that anyone that steps outside is cooking in a steam oven.

American Experience" Best Documentary Series

History has always been a favorite subject of mine, especially American history so it's an easy call for my favorite series. It has to be “American Experience.” It always manages to relate the past with the present, like airing a special on Martin Luther King, Jr. around his holiday. The series covers all aspects of American life, political, social and cultural. It is separate from the series “American Masters” but sometimes features artists and their work. Mostly, however, the material tries to focus on subjects that cut a wide swath through the national identity. It takes on wars and depressions and presidential campaigns, putting them center stage again for a little analysis. I have HD on my satellite TV with channels that www.directstartv.com and it makes old footage look vibrant. I also have surround sound and the audio production is exceptional. When they do a war-related program it puts you in the cockpit.

The “American Experience” always has the iconic pictures of history mixed with some that are new to the public. It is a plus that the shows are presented without commercials, especially the 90-minute or 2-hour specials. This really gives the feel of a movie documentary. When you think of PBS you think educational and I'm certain the “American Experience” could be used in the classroom as a teaching tool. It is that good.

Home Security Hollyridge!

 Willy is cooking up some home security today.  Willy is more specifically looking at home security hollyridge.  Where is this you ask.  Well it it is in Hollyridge SC.  This all has to do with Advanced Direct Security which is an ADT authorized company.

What does it have to do with satellite TV is still a little bit of a mystery to this intelligent hillbilly writer.  The website does not say anything that Willy can see.  However, Willy deduces that the monitoring is entering the building by satellite.  What do you think?

Diets

Willy is getting too fat and Willy is trying to diet to lose weight.  The diet includes protein and some type of potatoes or rice in the morning.   Snacks in morning and afternoon of protein and fruit and then evening meal of protein, vegetables and rice or potatoes.

What Willy believes makes this diet work is that Willy only gets very small portions each time.  The combinations of foods is supposed to be the secret, but Willy knows when you don't stick much in your mouth, you might lose weight. 

By the way - has anybody got some ice cream?

Atomic Buffalo Turds (ABTs)

Here is another post I've been meaning to get up for a couple weeks.

I posted about atomic buffalo turds one other time, but I didn't really give them their due. We had a pot-luck party a couple weeks ago and I offered to make the appetizer. ABTs were the obvious choice.Start out by cutting the stem off and halving the peppers. Then I like to use a grapefruit spoon to scoop out the membranes and seeds. Just use the teeth of the spoon to cut through the pulp up near the stem. Then simply rake it down the length of the pepper to scoop everything out. If you want them to be hotter, take out the white pulp and seeds, but leave the thin membrane on the inside wall of the pepper. Give em a good rinse now to get extra seeds, pulp, etc. off of them.

Sunday CLOTHES

A little boy was walking down a dirt road after church one Sunday afternoon when he came to a crossroads where he met a little girl coming from the other direction.

'Hello,' said the little boy

'Hi,' replied the little girl.
'Where are you going?' asked the little boy.
'I've been to church this morning and I'm on my way home,' answered the little girl.
'I'm also on my way home from church. Which church do you go to?' asked the little boy.

'I go to the Baptist church back down the road,' replied the little girl. 'What about you? '

'I go to the Methodist church back at the top of the hill,' replied the little boy.

They discover that they are both going the same way so they decided that they'd walk together.

They came to a low spot in the road where spring rains had partially flooded the road, so there was no way that they could get across to the other side without getting wet.

'If I get my new Sunday dress wet, my Mom's going to skin me alive,' said the little girl.

'My Mom'll tan my hide, too, if I get my new Sunday suit wet,' replied the little boy.

'I'll tell you what I think I'll do,' said the little girl. 'I'm gonna pull off all my clothes and hold them over my head and wade across.'

'That's a good idea,' replied the little boy. 'I'm going to do the same thing with my suit.'

So they both undressed and waded across to the other side without getting their clothes wet. They were standing there in the sun waiting to drip dry before putting their clothes back on, when the little boy finally remarked:

'You know, I never realized before just how much difference there really is between a

Baptist and a Methodist!!!'

Willy thinks he might like to cook up a deal with smc corp which is a specialty merchandise corporation. 
Willy has written a smc review previously and Willy believes this is a company that Willy could really deal with.  The company provides merchandise that a person can sell at a profit and really make some good money.  The company has a great variety of products that can be appealing to almost anyone.

Willy has thought about doing this several times and Willy might be close to getting there because it just looks more appealing every day.  What can be wrong with making money by selling great novelty products that have a mass appeal to the audiences that Willy frequents.

Cooking at the Hospital

Willy's wife just recently spent another 13 days in the hospital.  Willy's wife has had great opportunities to eat hospital food.  They were ok at first but as days went on the food all smelled the same and tasted the same. 

Almost every meal had mashed potatoes and gravy.  Three times she had chicken and dressing or turkey and dressing.   It came to the point that when they brought the tray in Mrs Willy would ask them to read the sheet and in most cases she simply said take it away and asked Willy to go fetch something somewhere else.

Willy needs to cook at the hospital.  Willy would have great food.   Everyone would love it for a few days.

Cooking Up a Transport!

Willy is cooking up an idea that he needs to expound on that might be a little crazy but it might be a great idea.  What is this idea that Willy is cooking up?  Well the idea has to do with buying and selling automobiles all over the United States.

Will Watches Ebay and other sites to see if there are bargains on vehicles.  Willy thinks that he can buy in one place and sell in another place in the U.S. and make money.  The biggest problem is that Willy needs to have a way to use Auto Transport companies to get the cars from where they are bought to the place that Willy wants to sell them.  Willy has not had any experience with Car Shipping and needs to check out the internet to see what is available in this area.

So if Willy can get the logistics of ways to use a Car Transport company in a way that would make the job of moving the vehicles that Willy buys easy and simple then it will make this idea of buying and selling vehicles a good one.

Willy is Cooking up a Republican Truck

Willy stopped by the Chevrolet Dealership yesterday, for a look at the new Silverado 1500 pickup. Just for fun, I took it out for a test drive. I wanted to sense that new "feel" before they become extinct.

The salesman (a black man wearing an Obama "change" lapel pin) sat in the passenger seat describing the truck and all its "wonderful" options. The seats were of particular interest. He explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat.

Feeling like messing with him, Willy mentioned that this must be a Republican truck.

Looking a bit angry, he asked why Willy thought it was a Republican truck. Willy explained that if it were an Obama truck, the seats would blow smoke up your ass year-round.

  Willy had to walk back to the dealership...damn guy had no sense of humor.

Weak and cooking

The title to this blog was supposed to be the week end cooking.  However with voice activation.  It came out like it did.  So therefore we are going to work with it like it comes out through voice activation.

4 the weekend we are going to have mothers day hey home.  It will be hard to eat home I would rather eat hey home.  It really sounds like hillbilly willie is talking when he keeps saying home instead of halo mn.  Can anybody guess what type of meat we are having.  Voice activation keep saying home when willie is trying to say hey home.  This voice activation has a lot to learn.  Willie is going to say it 3 *

Caribbean Baby Back Ribs with Guava Glaze

Willy loves ribs just about anyway you make them.  However, willy thought Guava was something from a bat.  What do you think.   10-4 Willy

Ingredients

Rub

1tablespoon kosher salt

2teaspoons dried oregano

1/2teaspoon garlic powder

1/2teaspoon onion powder

1/2teaspoon ground black pepper

2racks baby back ribs, each 2 to 2-1/2 pounds

Glaze

1cup guava jelly or apricot preserves

1/2cup plus 1 tablespoon ketchup

3tablespoons unsalted butter

3scallions (white and light green parts only), minced

1tablespoon peeled, grated fresh ginger

1-1/2teaspoons seeded and minced habanero chile pepper or 2 teaspoons minced jalapeño chile pepper

1large garlic clove, grated

Instructions

1. Prepare the grill for indirect cooking over low heat (250° to 300°F).

2. In a small bowl mix the rub ingredients.

3. Remove the membrane from the back of each rack of ribs. Season the ribs all over with the rub, putting more of it on the meaty sides than the bone sides. Arrange the ribs in a rib rack, all facing the same direction. Allow the ribs to stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling. Meanwhile, make the glaze.

4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix the glaze ingredients.

5. Brush the cooking grates clean. Place the ribs over indirect low heat, as far from the heat as possible, with the bone sides facing toward the heat. Close the lid. After 3 hours, check to see if any rack is ready to come off the grill. They are done when the meat has shrunk back from most of the bones by 1/2 inch or more. When you lift a rack by picking up one end with tongs, the rack should bend in the middle and the meat should tear easily. If the meat does not tear easily, continue cooking for up to 4 hours.

6. Remove the ribs from the rib rack and transfer to a sheet pan. Lightly brush the ribs on both sides with the glaze. Lay the ribs flat on the cooking grate, with one rack at a time over direct heat. Grill them, with the lid closed as much as possible, until the ribs are a little crispy on the surface, 10 to 15 minutes, brushing them, turning them, and swapping their positions occasionally. Return the ribs to the sheet pan, give them one last coating of glaze, and cover with foil to keep warm for as long as 15 minutes. Cut the racks between the bones and serve right away.

Cooking up some Easter Eggs.

Willy misses the days when the daughter, now 28, would spend days before Easter coloring eggs. 

Maybe Willy needs a grand kid to do this with now. 

Willy would cook  the eggs or Mrs Willy would and we would color and paint and play and just enjoy.

This Easter the Wife is recovering from a serious illness, the daughter was over for a few hours on Friday, we did not  get to go to Church.

Dear Lord send it back and return that joy to Willy's wife and Willy.

Cooking at the hospital.

Willy spent the last two weeks in and around the hospital with kinfolks.  It did teach Willy that food can look ok but if it does not smell good it will not be eaten.

SMC is almost a house hold word.  Isn’t that the one that Tom Bosley used to advertise for.  Willy believes that Mr. B from Happy Days would not lie and therefore these things that are said about a specialty merchandise corporation scam has got to be a crock of bull.  Willy used to listen to their commercials and think that this would be a great business for Willy to take in his spare time. 

So, Willy is writing this specialty merchandise corporation review  letting the world know that Willy thinks that this is a good company and one that many people have made good money exercising their plan for making money.  Yes this is a good plan and a good company.

All of that is said to emphasize that the specialty merchandise corporation scam is ridiculous.  Yes, who would know that this is something that is being said that is totally false.  Well, Willy is one that would know and Willy would like to tell everyone else.  So what do you think?  Is this a scam or is it real>

What do you have cooking when you have the following ingredients.

You have the recipe for a strange NCAA final four.  You have cooked up a Cinderella team in the NCAA finals.  Will it be Butler or will it be VCU 

Cooking up a Truck at Park Auto Mall

Willy does not live in Tampa but if he did because Tampa used cars are something that Willy might really be looking into.  Why would Willy be looking into that?  Well, because Willy could easily  be looking for used trucks or used cars or possibly Willy is just looking for a place where he can get credit to buy a good Ford F150 in Tampa Florida.  

Yes, as you can tell Willy is a nut for good used cars.  That is why it is important to check out these used cars in Tampa and a reason to look at Park Auto Mall.  Great cars and trucks with great prices and great credit terms seems to be something that is important to this group.

So, if you are in the Tampa area and you need a good used car it is the belief of this redneck that you should check this place out.  You may smile as you drive away being glad that you stopped by.
